Dr Alessandra Canuto

Dr Alessandra Canuto is an FMH specialist in psychiatry and psychotherapy, with in-depth expertise in liaison psychiatry and old age psychiatry. Appointed Medical Director of the Centre hospitalier du Valais romand (CHVR), she has taken over the medical governance of the institution. She also sees patients at the Quai Santé medical centre.

Trained in Turin, she settled in Switzerland in the 1990s. She had a rich career at Geneva University Hospitals (HUG), where she served as head of department and professor. She also led the Fondation de Nant before devoting herself to community and hospital health management.
